In the Green Heart, we are working together with companies, governments and educational institutions on the transition to a circular economy in 2050. The breeding ground for circular activity is great in the Green Heart. To ensure that these companies can realize their ideas, they must look outside their own sector for partnerships. After all, the goal of the circular economy is to search for new and especially renewable raw materials via short chains. In the new economy, one person’s residual stream becomes another person’s raw material. Preferably with as little processing and as few transport movements as possible in between. Once you can think and look this way, you suddenly see all kinds of interesting chains emerging. Chains of driven companies that with their knowledge and drive make their own municipality, region and the rest of the world sometimes, a bit more sustainable. To show how these chains work in concrete terms, during Circular Economy Week we showed a number of examples that essentially all form part of a circular circle in the region.
We posted such an example every weekday around lunchtime via our socials and our YouTube channel. Were you unable to follow the news every day? Then watch it back via our YouTube channel.
