Who are we?

Platform Groene Hart Circulair is the regional platform for circular economic initiatives in the Green Heart. Established in 2015 after several years of administrative cooperation between the municipalities of Alphen a/d Rijn, Gouda and Woerden. The platform forms a meeting place for entrepreneurs, educational institutions and governments in the Green Heart when it comes to circular initiatives. Parties seek connection and are challenged to work together to contribute to the sustainability of the economy in the Green Heart. The overarching goal is a fully circular economy in the Green Heart in 2050.

By now, 13 municipalities in the Green Heart have joined and the platform has some800 participants from the business and education sectors. The platform organizes various activities and supports projects that promote the development of the circular economy.
